Absolute Brake AB500L Air Brake Plunger Securing Device
AB500L - For trucks built after Mid-2008 or trucks that have replaced the original PP-DC or MV-3 value with the new design. On the new design, the plastic shaft is smooth and tapered, not like the early style that has a stop on the shaft.
Prior to placing the Absolute Brake® AB400L/AB500L into position, the Absolute Brake® Cap should be facing the person applying the AB400L/AB500L device (see Figure # 1). Lightly swivel the AB400L/AB500L back and forth in between the base of the Bendix Air Brake Controller Valve and the Plunger Knob/Cap, until it locks securely into place (See Figure # 2). Once in position, the AB400L/AB500L should be a snug fit and the operator should not be able to engage the parking brake – you may need to adjust the Plunger Knob by either turning it clockwise or counter-clockwise (see Figure # 3). There are flared entry holes on both sides of AB400L/AB500L for the optional Master Lock® to easily slide all the way through the device and, once completely through the holes, it can be easily locked (see Figure # 4). To remove the AB400L/AB500L Air Brake Plunger Securing Device, simply swivel the device back and forth while pulling the device away from the control valve. We hope you enjoy the Safety, Security & Peace of Mind this product provides you!
